Author, Ordained Elder, and Community Leadership Advocate
Dr. Sarah Hurd Williams is an ordained Elder whose life has been centered on ministry, service, and community care. She has served on ministry boards, leadership teams, and various community projects focused on outreach, emergency assistance, and spiritual support.
For more than 28 years, she served as Outreach Director at Green Pastures, where she helped lead programs that supported individuals and families in crisis. Her work also extended into public service, where she volunteered as a cleric with DeKalb County for the burial services of indigent persons from 1999 to 2013.
Alongside her community work, she has served in media ministry for many years. She co-hosted The Bobby Hurd Show on WATC TV57 Atlanta and later began hosting A Time in the Word with Sarah Hurd, where she continues to share messages of faith and encouragement.
Her book, Looking for Love Out of a Weak Eye, reflects her lifelong focus on healing, emotional restoration, and understanding life through faith and experience.
Dr. Sarah Hurd Williams developed her foundation in faith and service early in life, building a strong commitment to ministry, learning, and helping others.
During this time, she stepped fully into outreach leadership, serving as Outreach Director at Green Pastures for over 28 years. Her work focused on emergency assistance, spiritual care, and community-based support programs.
Dr. Williams expanded into television and radio ministry. She co-hosted The Bobby Hurd Show and later hosted A Time in the Word, reaching audiences with messages of faith and encouragement.
She also helped establish Bible-based teaching programs through Birthing Vision Ministries, Inc., expanding access to spiritual education and guidance.
In this period, she focused on leadership development and mentoring. She became a certified Life Growth Coach with Dream Releaser Coaching, supporting individuals and ministry leaders through training and guidance.
Her work also included conferences such as “Let Your Heart Beat Again,” focused on healing, restoration, and emotional renewal.
She received multiple honors for her volunteer service and long-term community impact, recognizing her commitment to humanitarian work and ministry service.
Today, Dr. Sarah Hurd Williams serves as a Church Administrator while continuing her work in ministry, media, and writing.
She remains active in teaching, mentoring, and speaking, while also continuing to share her message through television, conferences, and her book Looking for Love Out of a Weak Eye.

Dr. Sarah Hurd Williams is a Church board conflict resolution expert because of her long experience serving on ministry boards and leadership teams, where she helps resolve conflict, restore communication, and support unity in church leadership.
As a Church governance operations strategist, she helps churches organize leadership systems, improve structure, and strengthen operations so ministries can function with clarity and stability.
Dr. Sarah Hurd Williams is a Ministry leadership development consultant through her coaching and mentoring work, helping leaders grow in confidence, communication, and practical ministry leadership skills.
